Charlie will present his last show in November leaving room for a new spot on the BBC 1Xtra resident team. BBC has now said its goodbyes to DJ Semtex and Charlie Sloth in the space of a month.

Various sources say Sloth is heading to Apple Music and will host a new show on Beats 1 which will contribute to the creation of playlists.

With that, the highly popular ‘Fire In The Booth’ is leaving with him. Apparently Sloth owns the right to the FITB franchise and the current operations are licences to the BBC.

That agreement will end upon his departure and FITB will take place on Apple Music in addition to remaining on YouTube.

Furthermore, Apple Music now employs, George Ergatoudis, Ryan Newman, Zane Lowe, Multiple ex-Radio 1/1Xtra DJs and Producers & possibly Charlie Sloth.

Big Zuu joins the 1Xtra team!

Just 1 day after the leave of Charlie Sloth, BBC Radio 1Xtra announced their latest team arrival. Big Zuu joined by DJ Tash LC, Nadia Jae & Moses Boyd, together will present a brand new show on BBC’s 1Xtra platform. Interviews, sets and hopefully a new spin on the long lost Joints Show, Big Zuu is certainly ideal for his new role.

Likewise, Its not to say Big Zuu has fully replaced Charlies seat at 1Xtra although the timing of Sloths leave and a recent tweet from Zuu puts a perspective of things.

Due to Sloth announcing the leave himself it seems like he had greater ambitions and knew the time would come for a new presenter to fill his role.
